Course Description
In a variety of courses, AP Physics provides high school students with a rigorous, college-level introduction to physics. Physics I, Physics II, Mechanics in AP Physics C, and Electricity and Magnetism in AP Physics C. Calculus is not necessary for AP Physics 1 and 2, which include topics including kinematics, dynamics, waves, electricity, and magnetism. Calculus applications are used to further explore mechanics and electromagnetic in AP Physics C courses. The focus of these courses is on laboratory skills, critical thinking, and problem solving. A strong performance in AP Physics can help students get college credit and improve their readiness for graduate-level work in science, engineering, and related subjects.
